Activities at Mellor Country House

Throughout the year a number of regular (and often irregular) activites are undertaken to raise funds. The calendar shows all the events and activities recently undertaken and what is coming over the next twleve months.

In the spring (usually in May) a plant sale is organised where some excellent bargains can be found just in time to get your garden looking good for the summer. You can pre order your plants and collect them from the House or just come along and choose what you want, come early to get the best selection.

Summer would not be the same without local fairs and fetes so come along and see what Mellor Country House has to offer. This event occurs in July and has been running for nearly 100 years (on and off). Have a look at some of the pictures in the history section for evidence of this. If you are local to Mellor you may spot one of your ancestors....

Over the winter months the House is closed for redecorating. This provides the opportunity to use the space for fundraising. Christmas Delights lives up to its name with a host of activities and an array of Christmas goods for sale.

We have a constant stream of smaller activities associated with the upkeep of the House and are always open for more volunteers. If you have any free time and wish to assist in any work being undertaken, help at any event or have a good fundraising idea then please let us know.
