Welcome to Mellor Country House

We are a UK charity that provides short breaks and holidays for families and individuals in difficult circumstances who otherwise wouldn’t get them. The Charity aims to make a difference in the lives of its visitors by offering a break from ‘the norm’.

The ‘norm’ in most cases is a stressful and dull environment where opportunities for fun and fresh air are limited. The volunteers at the House work hard arranging fun activities, and the beautiful setting provides the clear country air.

The House itself is located in the pretty village of Mellor, where Cheshire meets the Peaks.

The House is totally self funded, relying on donations and support from companies, groups and individuals who are acknowledged throughout this site.
