Located at the bottom of Church Road the large
grounds surrounding the 'Devy' provide delightful gardens which
are extremely
popular
in
the
summer. For the more energetic a boulles court has been provided.
In the winter you can be assured of a warm welcome not only from
the landlord but also from the roaring fire in the bar. The good
food on offer can be washed
down
with
an excellent pint of
the
local
Robinson's
beer,
the Devy
has
won
the
Robinson's
best kept cellar so it is well worth a visit.
The Oddfellows Arms
A picturesque stone built property located in
Moor End Road, the older part of the village. The 'Oddies'
offers an
excellent menu in the bar and upstairs restaurant. Being a
free house there is a changing variety of beers as well as the
normal favourites. A wide range of good wine is also available
and to
finish your meal there is an excellent choice of spirits and
liquor.
The Royal Oak
Being close to Mellor sports ground makes the
'Oak' popular with the well attended sports club. It is the unofficial
meeting place for the lacrosse and cricket teams.
Outside there are extensive grounds with commanding
views over Lyme
Park.
